Ellen Jenell Dilsaver, 92 years, passed away on December 5, 2016 at Nixa Nursing and Rehabilitation in Nixa, MO with her family by her side.  Ellen was born November 11, 1924 in Ava, MO to John Daniel and Mabel (Dougherty) Harnden.

Ellen was a Bookkeeper before her marriage. She worked at Springfield Stockyards and later at Ava Citizens Bank.  On January 11, 1957 Ellen and Eugene “Gene” Dilsaver were united in marriage in Ava, MO and to this union two sons, John and Dale were born.

Ellen was a Christian and a member of the Finley River Cowboy Church in Highlandville, MO. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, birds, and nature. Her joy was being with her family and especially loved being a grandmother!

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, and nine brothers and sisters.  Ellen is survived by her husband, “Gene” Dilsaver of Nixa, two sons, John Shelton Dilsaver, Sparta, MO and Dale Dilsaver and wife, Teresa, Republic, MO, two grandsons and their spouses, Josh & Amanda Dilsaver and Shelt & Kendra Dilsaver, all of Springfield, MO, one great-granddaughter, Avery Dilsaver, sister-in-law, Beverly Nickles, Springfield, MO, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
